History: Rich grew up in South Wales near to Cardiff but moved to Bournemouth at 18 to take a university degree in Design Engineering. During this time Rich took to riding a scooter and became hooked on 2-wheels. His first job after graduating was with Three Cross Motorcycles where he got to enjoy Ducati's, Benelli's and MV Agusta's. It was at Three Cross that he and Ian hatched the stupid idea of going motorcycle racing. Rich moved away from the motorycle industry at the end of 2004 when he took a more technically based job with Dawsons Home Cinema, but he hopes to return one day.

Ian's Yamaha R6 (2005 season)

Ian’s bike is a year 2003 Yamaha YZF-R6 599cc supersport machine. It was previously owned by up and coming BSB star Kieran Clarke. He rode it to a magnificent second place overall in the 2003 season of the Virgin Mobile R6 Cup.

Due to the regulations run at the R6 cup Ian’s R6 is pretty much road spec. It does have a few essentials like an aftermarket exhaust, steering damper, race plastics and rearsets. This is an excellent bike out of the crate though so there’s not much call for major mods.

There have been a few occasions where repair work has been called for (to both rider and bike!) but overall this machine has been lovingly maintained in it’s original R6 cup finery.
